Group Class Coaching & Personal Training Responsibilities:
- Act in accordance with our values, mission & vision because YOU are the face of the company to our clients on a daily basis.
- Enjoy working with a very diverse population (all LGBTQ , genders, races, ethnicities, affiliations, ages & backgrounds).
- Prepare ahead of classes & personal training sessions.
- Lead fun, effective and safe group exercise classes for 5 to 20 people.
- Stay engaged and enthusiastic for each class & session.
- Explain, demonstrate & lead all sections of the workout: warm-up, strength, conditioning & cool-down.
- Coaches are NOT participating in each workout, instead they have 100% of their attention focused on the client experience.
- Modify appropriately for each individual’s needs.
- Build & strengthen rapport with each client.
- Collaborate with the team on exercise programming for classes & individual members.
- Hold clients accountable to their commitments.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Act in accordance with our values, mission & vision.
- Attend all on-boarding & training sessions.
- Attend individual & team meetings.
- Help achieve client retention goals through excellent client rapport, providing an amazing class experience, and contacting absent clients.
- Communicate client concerns, questions & important details to the rest of the team ASAP.
- Offer feedback to the team on how to improve the member experience, quality and scalability.
- Plan, promote, execute & attend social events.
- Recommend & encourage our services & products to current & potential members.
- Assist with facility & equipment maintenance, organization & cleaning.
- Perform other duties and administrative tasks as needed.
Available Times for Classes:
- Class times on Tu/Wed/Thur - 5:45am to 8:30am
- Class times on Mon/Wed/Fri - 12:15pm to 1:30pm
- Class times on Mon/Wed/Fri - 4:15pm to 7:00pm
- Class times on Sat - 7:45am-10:30am

Experience Requirements:
- 1 years of Group Exercise instructor &/or personal training experience with adults
- 3 years of general/any professional work experience
- Proficient in your ability to perform & teach all the major movements found in Powerlifting.
Skill Requirements:
- You hold yourself to the highest standard of professionalism with respect to your punctuality, appearance, communication, and use of all social media channels.
- You have exceptional time management, organizational & detail-oriented skills.
- You work well both independently and as part of a team.
- You're proficient in Google Calendar, Google Drive & Gmail.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma required.
- Bachelors in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology or equivalent is preferred.
- Proficient in human anatomy & biomechanics as they pertain to exercise.
Certification Requirements:
- AED Certification (Required)
- CPR Certification (Required)
- Preferred certifications below -
- ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE, or equivalent
- USAW Certified
- CrossFit Level 1
Commuting Requirements:
- Reliably commute to 1601 South Halsted St, Chicago, IL, 60608
Compensation:
- Coaching Group Classes = $20/hr
- Administrative tasks = $20/hr
- Personal Training = $33/hr
- Cleaning = $14/hr
- Supplement Sales = 7.5% commission
- No cap on your income
