Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health counseling and support to individuals and families, focusing on their emotional and psychological well-being. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient care, and various counseling techniques, including motivational interviewing and clinical counseling. The LCSW will work in a collaborative environment, providing services in both hospital settings and home/community care.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions through individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
- Utilize techniques such as motivational interviewing to encourage clients in their treatment journey.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for patients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Stay informed about current best practices in mental health counseling, including child family counseling approaches.
- Offer support and guidance to clients dealing with various life challenges, including trauma, grief, and relationship issues.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills in clinical counseling and Christian counseling if applicable.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Experience in patient care within hospital or community settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to mental health services.
- Familiarity with child family counseling techniques is a plus.
- Strong skills in motivational interviewing and mental health counseling practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
