Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and streamline the flow of data between Snowflake, Azure Database, Power BI, and Excel to support the company's customized business needs. The ideal candidate will be proficient in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, with a focus on ensuring accurate and timely reporting through Power BI dashboards.
Key Responsibilities
Data Extraction and Integration
- Extract data from Snowflake and Azure Database and import it into Power BI for further analysis and visualization.
- Export datasets from Power BI to Excel for additional ETL and customization tasks based on business needs.
ETL Processes
- Conduct ETL operations using Excel to clean, organize, and transform raw data into meaningful formats.
- Develop and maintain custom Excel templates and processes to meet specific organizational requirements.
Data Visualization and Reporting
- Load cleaned and processed data into Power BI dashboards for monthly reporting.
- Design and optimize Power BI dashboards to provide actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business units to ensure dashboards reflect key performance indicators and priorities.
Data Quality Assurance
- Perform data validation to ensure accuracy and consistency across all reports.
- Identify and troubleshoot data discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
Collaboration and Support
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and deliver customized solutions.
- Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI dashboards and Excel-based reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
- Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese required.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Azure Database, Power BI, and Excel for data manipulation and visualization.
- Proven expertise in conducting ETL processes using Excel and/or other tools.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and extracting data from Snowflake and Azure Database.
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, macros, and data cleaning.
- Familiarity with Power BI for creating dashboards and visualizations.
- Knowledge of ETL workflows and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Python for data manipulation is a plus.
- Familiarity with other data integration tools or platforms.
- Understanding of business intelligence concepts and reporting strategies.
