- Starting pay is $17.80 with progression to $23.73 in 1 year.
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week
- Ability to work 2nd shift 5:00 pm - 1:30 am
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cleans inside and outside of supervisor vans, trucks, transit, and RAMP buses as scheduled.
- Maneuvers buses around TANK property, holding ones needed for shop work, pit work, or servicing - including fueling and checking all fluids.
- Visually checks buses as they come in for damage, noise, and leaks and reports to the shop supervisor.
- Inspects defect cards referring defects to the mechanic on duty.
- Clean upholstery, windows, plastic, cloth seats, and metal on the interior of buses.
- Clean, sweep, mop, and shampoo flooring inside of vehicles.
- Clean the driver’s area of any refuse; clean the dashes, steering wheel, and driver’s seat.
- Remove graffiti and markings from the interior and exterior of coaches.
- Cleans all areas to include: offices, dispatch areas, training room, driver’s rooms, hallways on lower and upper levels of front office, and service center.
- Cleans and maintains all restrooms located throughout the facility, including all fixtures, floors, walls, and filling dispensers (soap, toilet paper, hand towels).
- Maintains lower and upper-level floors, furniture, walls, and windows.
- Sweeps outside walkway by front office lobby.
- Salts and removes snow on outside steps and walkways.
- Empty the fare box vaults on every revenue vehicle available during an employee’s shift.
- Direct incoming buses to proper parking lanes in the storage barn and elsewhere for servicing or other needs.
- Remove schedules from buses and sort them for reuse.
- Accurately completes all applicable maintenance records, reports, and documents.
- Be alert for vandalism, fires, storm damage, equipment failure,e or unauthorized visitors on TANK property.
- Maintains a clean, uncluttered, and safe work area.
- Conducts all work safely and efficiently preventing injuries to himself/herself and all other individuals.
- Observe and report any potential safety hazards to a supervisor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Standing and walking for long periods on concrete surfaces
- Climbing stairs and inclines repeatedly.
- Bending, stooping, pulling, or pushing on a regular basis.
- Lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
- Correctible ability to see and hear in a normal range.
- Finger dexterity is required to manipulate objects.
- Reaching and extending hands and arms in all directions.
- Exposure to the outdoor climates and weather.
