SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST

Location : Solana Beach Office

Salary : 100K – 130K DOE

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, this role offers the opportunity to collaborate with finance, asset management, property management, acquisitions, and accounting teams. The Senior Analyst will engage in a variety of transactions and responsibilities, primarily focusing on retail assets.

Key Responsibilities :

Conduct detailed financial analysis and modeling, primarily for retail assets.
Create and deliver internal presentations, reports, and analysis.
Collaborate closely with acquisitions, financing, and asset management teams.
Perform market research and competitive analysis to support strategic initiatives.
Assist in marketing investments and opportunities to meet new and existing partners.

Primary Duties :

Provide financial and strategic analysis for the retail team, including support for complex redevelopment projects.

Work on multiple assignments concurrently, supporting team leaders.

Gather, process, and synthesize financial data from sources like Yardi and Excel to communicate insights to internal and external stakeholders for critical decision-making.

Develop and analyze monthly and quarterly reports to highlight key operating metrics.

Maintain and build visualizations and financial models to identify trends and support executive and equity partner presentations.

Partner with various departments to evaluate property and portfolio performance, reporting key drivers and variances.

Monitor industry trends, transactional activities, peer market performance, and real estate market research.

Perform ad hoc analysis as needed for management.

Qualifications :

5–7 years of experience in accounting, finance, and / or commercial real estate.

Strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Proficiency in Argus is required.

High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Advanced Excel skills, including expertise in formulas like INDEX MATCH, IFS variations, VLOOKUPS / HLOOKUPS, FILTER functions, and Pivot Tables.

Solid understanding of accounting and finance principles, including cash flows, rates of return, and net present value.

Innovative problem-solving approach to refining financial processes and models.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
