Clinical Duties
• Provide appropriate patient care in pain management and physiatry (rehab) which includes obtaining and documenting patient medical history, physical assessments, and developing therapeutic care plans
• Perform daily rounding on patients at acute rehab facilities, and skilled nursing facilities
• Able to manage 20-25 patients daily across multiple facilities
• Order appropriate diagnostic tests and accurately interpret test results
• Order interventions for pain management/pain relief independently once training is completed
• Prepare prescription orders for medications involving controlled and non-controlled substances
• Communicate and coordinate patient care with patients, families, and interdisciplinary medical teams
• Triage patient, facility, and pharmacy telephone calls/texts
• Perform accurate and timely medical record documentation
• Serve as the clinical expert and resource to other medical teams
• Participate, develop, and implement performance or quality improvement initiatives to help the growth of the company
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory boards and agencies
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience
- DEA license
- Florida Medical License
- Certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and/or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Pain management / Physiatry experience preferred
Healthcare setting: Rehabilitation center, Acute Rehab, Skilled Nursing Facilities
Medical specialties: Pain Medicine and Rehab/PMR/Physiatry
Schedule: Monday to Friday 2 days (weekend coverage) per month
Salary : $95,000 - $105,000
