Job Description
We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our interdisciplinary work group. As a CNA, you will be responsible for providing various services for patients as necessary to meet their personal needs and promote comfort.
Responsibilities
- Understand the hospice philosophy and provide specialized care to the terminally ill.
- Perform personal care needs, such as bathing and dressing, after given a patient's assignment and attending to their requests promptly.
- Provide patient and family with positive communication techniques, within the realm of ethical and respectful care, including confidentiality.
- Assist in dressing and undressing patients as assigned.
- Take and record oral, rectal, and axillary temperatures, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure when ordered with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency.
- Provide respite for patients/family/caregiver when on site as appropriate.
- Adhere to the organization's documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct.

Requirements
- Meet the training requirements of the State: CNA certification.
- Possess and maintain current CPR certification.
- One (1) year Hospice, home health or related organization experience preferred.
