Job Description
On-Call RN’s
Our week-day and weekend on-call RN’s provides prompt 24-hour nursing support for hospice patients from Monday at 5pm through Friday at 8:30am and Friday at 4:00pm through Monday at 8:30am. Support may be in the form of telephone triage or face-to-face visits depending on the needs of the patient and family. The Hospice on-call RN is responsible for completion of after-hours admissions and attends patient deaths supporting the family through this end-of-life process. These positions maintain a focus on customer service that exceeds the expectations of patients and their families.
Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in South Carolina
- Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience
- Minimum 1 year hospice experience
- Candidate must be able to verbally exhibit understanding of the physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs of the terminally ill patient and their family.
- Demonstrates good interpersonal skills with patients, families, team members and other healthcare professionals.
Per-Diem/PRN based for Weeknights starting at 5pm-8:30am Monday thru Thursday. Also Weekend Availability starting at 4:00pm Friday through Monday morning at 8:30am. Pick and choose your weeknights or weekend days that will fit your schedule. Pay is based on a scale listed below:
Beeper/Standby Pay Rate (standard rate and holiday rate)
Triage Call Pay
Per-visit pay (standard rate and holiday rate)
Cell phone and mileage reimbursement
