What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employment Specialist position at Transitions of Western Illinois?
Our Employment Specialists get to connect adults who have mental illness or a disability to jobs in the community by forming productive relationships with their clients and local employers! This work is performed using a highly successful evidenced-based practice in the client's natural environment (home and community).
This is a full-time position with primarily daytime hours of work plus participation in an after-hours crisis on-call system a few days/month. Position requires BA/BS degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Human Services. Experience in mental health/recovery services or job placement is preferred. Also requires valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, auto insurance, a good driving record, and ability to pass several background checks.
