What are the responsibilities and job description for the Travel CNA-Must live in Central Florida position at Transmedcare Llc?
Travel CNA’s must be willing to travel long-distance throughout the continental United States on the road for approximately 5-10 consecutive days.
Travel CNA's Assignment:
Patient Care
· Perform duties in a manner conducive to patient’s safety and comfort in accordance with standards of high-quality care
· Maintain patient stability by checking patient vitals and blood sugar levels and monitoring Oxygen (O2) levels
· Operate and utilize catheters, concentrator, oxygen tank regulator, M tank, E tank, nebulizer, suction machine, and stretcher.
· Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living such as personal hygiene, feeding, using the restroom, managing medication, etc.
· Protect privacy and dignity of patient information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines and related laws.
Documentation
· Conduct a face-to-face patient evaluation with nurse/caregiver or family member in charge of patient’s care at both pick up and drop off
· Complete all required documentations for patient care administration
· Conduct inventory of medical supplies and equipment; report supply shortages and equipment malfunctions to lead driver and the main office
Customer Relations
· Possess a positive demeanor and the ability to communicate professionally with patient, family member(s), medical personnel, and office staff.
· Keep family member(s) informed of patient’s condition throughout the trip
· Allow patient to communicate with family member(s)
· Accommodate needs of family members, if applicable
Travel CNA’s Requirements:
· Current CNA certification
· Current CPR certification
· Medication Administration certification
· Valid State of Florida driver’s license
· Minimum 1 year experience in patient care giving
· Excellent communication and people skills
