Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled QAD Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, optimizing, and supporting QAD (Quality Assurance and Development) solutions, focusing on ERP systems for manufacturing clients. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance business processes, troubleshoot issues, and provide training and support for users.
Key Responsibilities:
- QAD Implementation & Customization:
- Lead or assist in the installation and configuration of QAD ERP software solutions tailored to client needs.
- Customize QAD modules to meet the unique business requirements of the client (e.g., Manufacturing, Finance, Inventory Management, Procurement).
- Coordinate with technical teams to ensure system integration with existing software applications.
- System Optimization & Support:
- Analyze and troubleshoot system issues, provide root-cause analysis, and recommend solutions to improve the performance and functionality of QAD systems.
- Assist clients in optimizing their QAD systems to improve operational efficiency.
- Support post-implementation activities, such as testing, training, and user support.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in business operations and align them with QAD functionalities.
- Collaborate with clients to improve their existing business processes and streamline operations using QAD modules.
- User Training & Documentation:
- Conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure they understand how to use the QAD system effectively.
- Provide clear and comprehensive documentation for users and technical teams.
- Ongoing Client Relationship Management:
- Build strong relationships with clients by providing excellent customer service, addressing issues, and offering continuous improvements.
- Work closely with project managers to deliver QAD solutions on time and within budget.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a QAD Consultant or similar role in an ERP-focused capacity (minimum of 3-5 years).
- Experience with QAD ERP systems (preferably in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, or Distribution).
- Prior experience working with other ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of QAD architecture, modules, and functionality.
- Hands-on experience with QAD customization and integration.
- Proficiency in SQL, database management, and ERP-related technologies.
- Familiarity with coding languages like Java, .NET, or similar (optional but beneficial).
- Business Acumen:
- Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, finance, supply chain, or other business processes supported by ERP systems.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.
- Ability to manage client relationships and provide exemplary customer service.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Certifications (Optional but advantageous):
- Certification in QAD (QAD CTE or similar) or ERP-related certifications.
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Scrum) are a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in ERP systems or related technologies are a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with possible travel to client sites.
