Position Summary
Based in Martinez, CA the Maintenance Supervisor position is responsible for the planning, scheduling and day-to-day maintenance of our Martinez and Richmond, CA facilities.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure maintenance operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner and in compliance with all applicable safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Design, implement, and maintain a Critical Maintenance Management System for assigned facilities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Mean Time to Failure (MTTF) reports on all equipment at assigned facilities.
- Prepare all Purchase Orders for field work to be completed at assigned facilities.
- Ensure that assigned facilities equipment is maintained to the highest degree with zero downtime.
- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections of assigned facilities, addressing any negative findings.
- Serve as a technical lead on all equipment failure investigations.
- Schedule and oversee all field work during normal and after-hour situations.
- Conduct daily tailgate safety meetings, as site work dictates.
- Assume overall responsibility for subcontractors on site, including but not limited to assisting with the preparation of proper permitting applications, conducting contractor safety meetings, ensuring all work is done in accordance with Company requirements and project scope, general site housekeeping, and the monitoring of contractor safety.
- Interact with facility contractors to ensure timely execution of fieldwork. Ensure work is conducted in a safe and efficient manner and in compliance with all applicable safety, environmental and regulatory requirements and in line with the approved budget.
- Manage a Preventative Maintenance Program for assigned facilities and ensure all documentation is stored and filed accordingly..
- Manage budgeting, cost estimates, and repair costs for all maintenance programs and facilities.
- Prepare required supporting documentation required for annual budget development.
- Provide status reports in order to clearly communicate all maintenance and construction activities.
- Represent the Maintenance Department to employees, customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
- Maintain appropriate files and records associated with the activities of the Maintenance Department in accordance with Company and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to respond, support Emergency responses, Security exercises/ drills and serve as a member of the Safety Committee team.
- Ability to respond off-hours including nights, weekends and holidays to reduce facility downtime.
- This position is subject to DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Requirements.
Position Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of regulations and operations relevant to pipeline and terminal operations.
- Understanding of pipeline and terminal equipment, maintenance issues, and the available resources to assist.
- Ability to plan, organize, document, prioritize, and complete work efficiently.
- Ability to read and interpret blue prints, P&ID’s, and other technical/mechanical drawings.
- Excellent management skills, and demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and direct staff and subordinate staff.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an excellent command of grammar and the ability to effectively present information to all levels of management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
- Ability to analyze and resolve issues quickly and make sound decisions in a collaborative culture.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize and deliver a high degree of accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Proven project management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

Experience/Education:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in combination of operations, maintenance, and/or engineering programs in facilities representative of the operations of this Company is preferred.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential Card (TWIC).
