Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic team at Holbrook Sugar Hill. This part-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of older adults while working in a supportive and caring community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Occupational Therapist (OT) in implementing and conducting therapeutic interventions and treatments as per care plans.
- Provide one-on-one or group therapy sessions to residents, with a focus on enhancing their ability to perform daily activities.
- Help residents regain or maintain their independence through personalized occupational therapy.
- Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes in condition to the supervising OT.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including nurses, doctors, and social workers, to ensure optimal care and outcomes for each resident.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid Georgia COTA license.
- Newly licensed COTAs are welcome! We provide a supportive environment to help you grow and succeed.
- Passion for working with the aging population and helping individuals improve their quality of life.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in geriatrics, is a plus but not required.
