Job Summary:
Transpo Bus Services is seeking a responsible and compassionate School Bus Monitor to assist drivers in ensuring the safe and orderly transportation of students. The ideal candidate will help maintain a secure environment on the bus, assist students as needed, and communicate effectively with drivers, parents, and school staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students in safely boarding and exiting the bus.
- Ensure students are seated and properly secured before departure.
- Maintain order and enforce bus safety rules throughout the trip.
- Assist students with special needs, including securing mobility devices when necessary.
- Communicate with the bus driver about student behavior and any safety concerns.
- Provide assistance in case of emergency situations, including evacuations.
- Monitor students’ behavior and report any incidents to the appropriate authorities.
- Interact professionally and courteously with students, parents, and school personnel.
- Perform daily checks to ensure safety equipment is operational.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 19 years old.
- Experience working with children or in a similar role is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and handle emergency situations effectively.
