Title: Parts Specialist
Reports To: Director of Maintenance
Summary: Oversees parts purchasing, maintenance supplies, inventory management and control, controlling maintenance invoices, PO’s, assisting in road breakdown and other shop related Admin duties.
Major Duties:
Maintains inventory levels of parts and supplies via computer and periodic physical count verification, including reordering on a daily basis
Works directly with vendors and suppliers to negotiated the best pricing
Monitoring and balancing the overstock and dead stock inventory for returns to vendors
Receives and verifies all in bound shipments of parts and supplies.
Completes required inventory adjustments for parts/supplies issued out to work orders or assigned equipment.
Maintains inventory of warranty parts and cores for return to vendor.
Maintain and control all aspects of the parts room, including bench stock, cutting and maintaining keys.
Maintain and file invoices, work orders, process PO’s, track and entering technician or specialists work time in Maintenance system.
Assist shop foreman with roadside/breakdown driver calls and coordinating repairs.
Support all shop related admin. functions
All other duties as assigned
Weekends as needed or scheduled
Specifications:
Experience: Maintenance and/or parts background needed
Education: High School Diploma or GED, proficient with MS Office Suite of products.
Special Skills: Inventory Management, strong computer skills, and ability to work independently
Physical Requirements: Periodic heavy lifting required with the ability to work in a shop environment
Driver’s License: Must possess and maintain a current Drivers License
