JOB SUMMARY
TDC is seeking a highly dependable and organized Fleet Manager to oversee a fleet of company drivers. The Fleet Manager will be responsible for managing a diverse fleet of tractors and trailers, improving efficiency, productivity, and implementing strategies to optimize fleet performance. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of fleet management best practices.
DUTIES
- Follow TDC fleet management policies and procedures.
- Provide dispatch instructions to ensure high quality of customer service.
- Monitor and track vehicle utilization, maintenance, and fuel consumption.
- Coordinate vehicle repairs and maintenance with internal teams and external vendors.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to fleet operations.
- Analyze data on fleet performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize fleet operations and support business objectives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of company drivers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
- Proven experience in fleet management or related role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Proficient in using fleet management software systems. AS400 is helpful.
- Excellent attendance record is a must.
