Qualified candidates will have :
Must be at least 21 years of age.
A minimum of two (2) years verifiable driving experience in the operation of tractor / trailer equipment or similar equipment; preferably flatbed within the past five (5) years.
Must be able to obtain a passport and TWIC card or hold current documents.
Ability to travel 6-10 days at a time
Class A CDL and a current medical card as required under Subpart E -391.41.
Must pass a DOT physical examination, agility test, and NIDA Drug Screen in order to demonstrate physical and mental abilities for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle (CMV).
License must be valid in the state the driver resides with a permanent address; license must be without suspension or revocation.
Have the ability to run the lower 48 states and Canada.
Meet the requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSA) and have the ability to go through the qualification process; passing all requirements including a road test.
Note : Students or applicants with less than 2 years of experience or have not driven within the past 5 years, will be considered.
Physical Demands :
Driver must be able to sit for extended periods of time in the cab of a tractor.
Driver must be able to walk, bend, reach, push, pull, stoop, and squat, climb as well as grasp, lift and secure loads; handle tarps, which may weigh more than 80 pounds.
Functions are performed outdoors exposed to weather conditions.
