Job Opportunity: Trailer Tech Lead in De Pere - 2nd Shift
Trailer Mechanic Lead – Experienced
Monday - Friday schedule - 2nd Shift, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Job Responsibilities:
- Ensures standard repair times are being met, and updates following shift of priorities.
- Assigns work to technicians and assesses the quality of work performed.
- Processes jobs for COD customers by providing clear repair descriptions, reviewing technician hours, and verifying parts on the repair order.
- Performs PM services on trailers, refrigeration units, and APU units.
- Conduct DOT/FHWA inspections, meeting standard times for jobs performed.
- Perform tire repairs and replacements.
- Handle body, structural, rear door, and electrical maintenance on trailers.
- Weld steel and aluminum.
- Fabricate trailers and vehicles.
- Replace brakes and repair anti-lock braking systems (ABS).
- Foam-refrigerated trailers and vans.
- Provide road service when needed.
- Maintain company vehicles.
- Keep the shop and yard clean and organized.
Job Requirements:
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or related experience and/or training preferred.
- 3 years of experience in trailer repair or heavy-duty vehicle maintenance preferred.
- Experience with DOT inspections, ABS repairs, and steel fabrication is a plus.
- Air Brake Certification (FMCSR 396.25) or the ability to obtain.
- DOT commercial motor vehicle inspector certification or ability to obtain.
- Ability to work overtime during peak periods.
- Professional demeanor with internal and external customers.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills.
- Ability to obtain a forklift certification.
- Become ASE certified and maintain certification.
- Experience in welding/fabrication preferred.
- Must have a personal toolbox and a standard set of hand and air tools.
