Job Description
The Director of Academic and Learning Technologies reports primarily to the Vice Dean/Academic Affairs and Education at the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Medicine. This position is charged with leading the strategy, development, implementation, evaluation, and operation of a central academic and educational technology services and technologies that support the School of Medicine as part of overall strategic plans for SOM academic programs and IT.
The Director develops a unified vision, providing leadership, management, and change-management expertise required to ensure that the SOM has the necessary policies, processes, and practices to optimize the educational technology, leading towards a more integrated learning, teaching, and administrative environment for delivering medical school education, benefiting faculty, students, and staff. Ultimately, the Director is responsible for defining and communicating an academic technology vision and provides overall leadership for the design, development, and implementation of school-wide academic technology services.
Qualifications
This position requires a Master's degree in Educational Technology with a strong background in Computer Science from a regionally accredited college or university and from a regionally accredited college or university and 5 years related professional experience.
