What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher - Night Shift position at Transportation Services Unlimited?
Transportation Services Unlimited is seeking an experienced and highly motivated dispatcher with a positive attitude to work in a fast-paced environment. This position will work at a night schedule, which would fluctuate based on operational need.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for receiving orders, processing paperwork, and creating delivery tickets daily.
- Responsible for preparing and reconciling daily trip sheets and load sheets.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
- Utilize systems, reports, and monitoring devices provided by the company to better manage fleet, for example, GPS systems.
- Establishes and maintains delivery routes to optimize fleet operations.
- Issues equipment to drivers such as PPE, log books, and uniforms
- Utilize systems, reports, and monitoring devices provided by the company to eliminate the diversion, theft, or loss of company assets, including inventory and equipment.
- Direct activities of drivers while on their routes.
- Responsible for reviewing fuel data and working with rivers and management to minimize costs.
- 24-7 on call, must be available to tend to the needs of diverse, routes, and equipment. Some weekend work required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly supervises drivers.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization's policies and applicable laws.
