POSITION OBJECTIVE: This is the first level in the series. Incumbents are responsible for monitoring and securing special needs and other students. Monitors bus equipment use and student behavior and safety.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: (positions in this class typically require): High School Diploma, or G.E.D.; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

LICENSING REQUIREMENTS: (positions in this class typically require): Licensing Requirements: · Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR Certifications within 30 days of employment; · Ability to complete wheelchair and special needs handling training. · Applicants recommended for hire will receive instructions on how to obtain a fingerprint clearance card as a condition of employment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Positions in this class typically require: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Medium Work: Exerting up to 125 pounds of force for testing, up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
