POSITION SUMMARY |
- Assists students during the boarding, riding, and exiting the school bus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS |
- Assists students with boarding and exiting school buses.
- Secures students in car seats or seat belts as needed/required.
- Maintains acceptable standards of conduct and dress.
- Assists in the transfer of students from one bus to another.
- Supervises students while on the school bus.
- Maintains courteous, professional, and effective working relationships with parents, students, school staff, school officials, and all levels of employees.
- Works the days and hours necessary to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks.
- Performs related duties as necessary and as assigned by the supervisor for transportation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE |
- High School Diploma and/or GED.
- Successful experience working with children is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES |
- The candidate must be eighteen (18) years of age, at the minimum.
- An active and valid Virginia Driver's License is preferred.
- Relates well to all students.
- Relates well to colleagues and supervisors.
