Network Administrator

Shift:

Typical shift will be 8-5pm. If/when resource converts there may be times will resource will be required to work off hours occasionally.

Important Skills:

Deep Cisco knowledge

Past exp handling fiber installations and configurations

There is an engineering aspect and they need someone who has experience with network planning.

Ideally would like someone with utility exp. but if they are really strong with Cisco they may consider.

Team work is important they will be working on their own most of the time but they need to enjoy and want to collaborate with the team.

This person will be working outside in the elements a lot hot in summer cold in winter. They need to be comfortable with that.

Certifications:

Industry certifications such as Cisco (CCNA, CCNP, or CISSP), Ciena (CRS-A, P), or equivalent from related vendors are highly desired.

BS Degree preferred

The Sr. person on this team has left and there is going to be limited knowledge transfer.

This role is very hands one and there is a physical aspect of going to sites and fiber installations.
