Job Overview
EPC mechanical design of large scale Renewable Natural Gas plants and Digester sites. Scope touches all disciplines of design: civil, architectural, structural, process, and mechanical. The main areas of focus are mechanical in nature with respect to plant layout and piping systems. Designs emphasize safety, quality, constructability, budget, and on-time completion. This position contributes to a variety of parallel projects for multiple clients. The role requires implementing sound engineering judgement and principles to ensure project designs are cutting edge.
This role reports to the Lead Mechanical Engineer.
The position will based out of Sisters, Oregon or Denver, Colorado. A flexible starting location can be offered with a relocation commitment.

Responsibilities And Duties
- Prepare drawings and specifications for: permitting, estimating, and construction.
- Drawings include process & utility piping both above/below grade; piping isometrics; structural pipe support fabrication; concrete & equipment layouts; and P&ID’s.
- Equipment specification and procurement of valves, pumps, compressors, gensets, heat exchangers, and tanks.
- An ability to work together with process, electrical, controls, SCADA, and project management teams as well as outside civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering partners.
- Assist with commissioning and start-up of mechanical equipment.
- Manage in field compliance with project specifications.
- Mentor junior team members.
- Willingness and ability to respond to urgent issues outside normal business hours.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%, but expected travel is generally less.
- Other duties as assigned.
- This is a mid-level position requiring 3 years of mechanical engineering experience in industrial construction fields, such as: petrochemical, Oil &Gas, power generation, pharmaceutical, military, food & beverage, pulp & paper, mining, or chemical processing.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
- Working knowledge of engineering and construction processes, codes, and best practices; particularly in ASME B31.3 and to a lesser extent, B31.1.
- Knowledgeable in 2D and 3D computer aided drafting in Autodesk platforms (Inventor, Plant 3D, MEP, AutoCAD).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Exceptional organizational skills and an ability to meet deadlines.
- Solid communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license for state of residence.
- Be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Professional Engineer’s license in applicable field and ability to gain reciprocity in additional states, or an Engineer In Training (EIT)
- Heavy industrial construction / field engineering experience
- Master’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university

Salary : $105,000 - $145,000
