Maintenance Technician

Location: Rock Hill, SC

Reports To: Facilities Production Manager

Job Description

• Routine preventive maintenance around buildings, grounds, machines, and equipment to assess potential issues and address them
• Repair broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
• Perform ongoing preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical and other systems, including changing light bulbs, maintaining interior and exterior property, and operating HVAC systems
• Take care of routine repairs such as parts replacements
• Maintain and clean tools and equipment to ensure they are safe and usable
• Maintain inventory records
• Help to develop, and keep updated, maintenance programs to reduce the risk of future problems
• Proactively fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
• Meet quarterly with the Safety Committee
  
  

Job Requirements

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Some lifting is required up to 50 lbs.
• The ability to read technical drawings and blueprints is a plus
• Must be reliable, self-motivated and detail oriented
  
  

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
  
  

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years in plant maintenance as a technician
