What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Manager position at TRANSTEX LLC?
We are seeking a dynamic, people-oriented HR Manager to oversee all HR functions for our U.S. entities. This role will be responsible for managing full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, policy and procedure development, benefits administration and fostering a positive company culture. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of U.S. labor laws, management experience, and a passion for supporting employees and driving organizational success.
Key Responsibilities:
Full-Cycle Recruitment: Lead recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviewing, hiring, and ensuring a seamless onboarding process. Partner with department heads to identify staffing needs and manage recruitment strategies across all U.S. entities.
Policy and Procedure Management: Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with U.S. labor laws, organizational needs, and best practices. Regularly review and update policies to ensure consistency and legal compliance.
Employee Relations: Act as the point of contact for employee relations matters, resolving conflicts, addressing employee concerns, and promoting a positive work environment. Provide guidance to both employees and management on HR-related issues.
Benefits Administration: Manage the company's benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, and other employee perks.
Health & Safety: Oversee health and safety compliance within the workplace. (1 direct report , health and safety manager/hr assistant)
Company Culture: Cultivate a positive and inclusive company culture through engagement initiatives, employee development programs, and fostering open communication.
Management Support: Provide HR guidance and support to leadership teams, helping to align HR strategies with organizational goals. Coach and mentor managers on effective people management and performance-related matters.
Labor Law Compliance: Ensure full compliance with U.S. federal and state labor laws, including but not limited to wage and hour regulations, discrimination laws, and workplace safety standards.
Performance Management: Implement performance review process, including the development and delivery of performance feedback, recognition programs, and talent development strategies.
Other Duties: Undertake additional HR-related duties such as administrative tasks and special projects as needed to support the growth and success of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Human Resources, with a background in managing different HR functions. At least 2 years in a management or leadership role.
- Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. labor laws and HR best practices.
- Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization. Proven leadership and conflict resolution skills.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field and HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.
- Personal Attributes: A highly organized, proactive, and adaptable individual with a passion for helping employees thrive and fostering a positive workplace environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Minimal travelling required (2-3 times a year) to other US sites (Indianapolis and Missouri) and Canada (Montreal) head office.
- Knowledge of ADP (nice to have)
- This is an on-site role min 4 days a week.
