Lamination Machine Operator Assistant
Shifts : 3rd shift (11pm-7am) AND 2nd shift (3pm-11pm)
Respective Shift Differentials to be included with base hourly pay
The Lamination Machine Operator Assistant supports the Lamination Machine Operator in preparing, operating, and maintaining lamination machinery to ensure efficient production. All focus during production is to provide quality material to our customers. This role involves preparing materials, assisting in machine setup, monitoring quality during production, and handling tasks that support continuous operation. The Assistant will also help maintain a safe and organized workspace and adhere to safety standards.
As a Lamination Machine Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in every product, directly impacting customer satisfaction and helping to maintain our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
- Material Preparation and Loading :
Gather, inspect, and prepare materials needed for lamination.
Assist in loading materials into the lamination machine as per production requirements.Ensure an adequate supply of materials is available for uninterrupted operation.Machine Assistance and Setup :Support the Operator in machine setup and adjustment for each production run.
Help align and position materials to ensure proper lamination.Assist with minor adjustments to maintain optimal machine performance.Quality Monitoring :Monitor the lamination process to ensure materials meet quality standards.
Inspect products for defects, irregularities, or inconsistencies, reporting any issues to the Operator.Remove and separate defective products and assist with quality checks as needed.Maintenance and Clean-Up :Assist in routine maintenance and cleaning of the lamination machine.
Help with machine shut-down procedures and equipment cleaning at the end of each shift.Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring materials are stored properly.Safety and Compliance :Follow all health and safety protocols and company policies.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and encourage safe work practices.Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately.Documentation and Reporting :Assist with recording production data, including material usage and machine downtime.
Keep accurate records of daily tasks and any issues encountered.Communicate with the Operator and supervisor regarding production progress and any challenges.Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent.Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.Skills and Abilities :
Attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.Basic math and measurement skills.Strong teamwork and communication skills.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Training and Certification to drive a forklift.Basic understanding of machine operations or willingness to learn.Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team.Physical Requirements :
Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.Capable of lifting and moving materials up to 50 lbs as required.Work Schedule :
