Joining TransWest's Hospitality Team means you'll be a flexible supporting team member in delivering quality transport across conferences, sporting events, venues, weddings, parties, and more.
With a focus on safety and client experience, the CDL Charter Bus Driver will transport clients to events, providing high-touch VIP customer service at all times to ensure optimum client satisfaction and repeat business. The Charter Bus Driver must demonstrate professional driving skills, having safety at the forefront of their mind at all times.
CDL Charter Bus Drivers will earn a base pay of $27.50 to $29.50 an hour depending on license and experience and a $10 an hour Charter premium and possible gratuities when preforming Charter work. CDL Charter Bus Drivers will need to be able to drive all vehicles within the TransWest fleet, from an SUV to a Motorcoach, and everything in between.
We are also offering a $2,500 sign on bonus for new CDL with Passenger endorsement drivers that join that TransWest team!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Always provide excellent customer service; welcome and engage with passengers for a relaxed and enjoyable rider experience; help with boarding or de-boarding as appropriate, in accordance with operations policies.
- Be able to make self-guided decisions if event logistics change. Be open and adaptable to client changes.
- Familiar with the greater Puget Sound area and have experience navigating commercial vehicles in Seattle.
- Conduct a vehicle safety check on assigned vehicles and report any defects in a timely manner; complete all required operations documentation fully and accurately both pre and post trip.
- Fuel assigned vehicle unless otherwise directed by Manager or Driver Lead; ensure the interior of the vehicle is swept/vacuumed and kept free of garbage and debris. Clean windows and seats as needed to maintain an immaculate environment for exceptional client experience.
- Maintain impeccable appearance and professionalism at all times when representing the TransWest brand.
- Lock up and secure the vehicle at the end of each assignment; ensure windows are closed, doors locked and parking lot gates are secure as appropriate.
- Report all environmental safety hazards, unusual incidents, suspicious circumstances, and accidents; report all incidents; complete incident reports as necessary; participate in accident or incident reviews as requested. Document all accidents/incidents verbally and/or in writing or e-mail as directed by Manager or Driver Lead.
KEY POSITION COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of traffic safety issues and environmental concerns
- Excellent safe defensive driving skills
- Charismatic personality and first-class customer service skills
- Motivated and enthusiastic in approaching the role and maximizing the client experience
- Effective interpersonal/communication skills
- Sufficient English proficiency to provide easily understood information to clients, and to communicate effectively with supervisors/co-workers in order to maintain a safe work environment
- Ability to drive large vehicles in congested areas
- Ability to work both as a team member and team leader
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
- Must pass pre-employment DOT drug test
- Enjoy people and excel at customer service
- Able to communicate proficiently in English
- Able to work independently, yet able to take direction
- Able to pass a criminal background check
- CDL Class A or B with a Passenger Endorsement
- Current/Active DOT Medical Card
- Past experience working as a Charter or Chauffeur driver a plus
- Pay: $27.50 - $29.50 per hour * depending on experience and license type
- $10 hourly pay premium when driving a Charter trip
- $2 hourly pay premium when driving a school bus route for our private school routes
- $1 hourly pay premium when driving a motorcoach route for our corporate shuttle programs
- Possible gratuities on charter work
- Annual pay raises starting at $0.75 per hour (with increasing raise amounts based on years of service)
