Responsibilities :
What you'll be challenged to do :
TranSystems Boston Massachusetts office has an opening for an Entry Level Bridge Engineer. This position is open to entry level engineers. This position includes structural design, rehabilitation, and inspection of bridges and tunnels along with the preparation of load ratings, construction documents, specifications, and estimates. In addition, duties may include construction inspection services. Day to day assignments and technical guidance will be provided by current staff Project Managers and Project Engineers. Assignments may involve travel within the continental United States. General duties include, but are not limited to :
- Performing bridge and tunnel inspection assignments as an inspection team member while documenting inspection findings and preparing inspection reports throughout MA and the US.
- Participating in bridge design assignments involving contract plans preparation and specifications, design calculations, calculation of quantities and development of cost estimates.
- Performing load rating analyses.
- Office support for construction support services.
- Reviewing shop drawing submittals. Organize submittals and address questions from contractors during the construction phases of structures.
- Assist or participate in preparation of business proposals.
