Responsibilities :
What you'll be challenged to do :
The Philadelphia / Ebensburg office is looking for a Lead Transportation Constructor Inspector.
Primary Responsibilities (others may be included) :
- Manage a Consultant work force whose responsibility is to ensure that contractors build a quality construction project.
- Ensure Maintenance and Protection of Traffic is implemented. Communicate with subordinates to ensure plans, specifications, standards and Q.C. Plans are adhered to.
- Make assignments to subordinates to assure that contractors activities are observed and examined.
- Manage and control overtime to meet the District and project specific overtime budgets.
- Promote a partnering atmosphere by maintaining open and honest communications with the contractors.
- Conduct training and safety meetings.
- Provide support to the Department Project Engineer / Manager.
- Assists in the inspection of materials and workmanship for compliance with contract requirements and established standards.
- Review inspectors activities during work operations to assure effectiveness.
- Review, as required, PSAs and work sheets for inclusion of pertinent information and payments.
- Participates in daily huddles with field staff.
