Responsibilities

What you'll be challenged to do:

Gannett Fleming TranSystems is seeking an Architectural intern interested in learning career skills through assisting our experienced Architects and Designers in the design process and preparation of plan sets and studies for a wide range of project types. This position is based out of Baltimore, MD.

• Participate in all project phases, from initial conceptual design to construction document production
• Support project team through completion of entry-level tasks
• Organize files/materials, conduct research and assist in preparation of studies and reports
• Assist with the preparation of construction drawings
• Prepare graphic presentations and 3-D renderings
  
  
  

Qualifications

What you bring to our firm:

• Currently enrolled in a program to pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture
• Will have completed a minimum of one year of an undergraduate program before start of the internship
• Possess basic knowledge with use of Revit, AutoCAD and 3-D computer rendering programs
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.

Work Environment:

• The work environment and physical demands described here are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This compensation range is specific to the State of Maryland and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; internal peer equity; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Gannett Fleming TranSystems, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $20-25/hr.
