Responsibilities
What you'll be challenged to do :
TranSystems' Texas team has an immediate opening for a Bridge Engineer position for design, load rating and bridge assessment of highway or railroad bridges. Applicants must possess strong technical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work in the field conducting bridge assessments and must be able to work well in a team environment on multi-disciplinary projects. This person can sit in any of our Texas TranSystems' office locations, including : Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, or Dallas.
Primary Responsibilities (others may be included) :
- Participate in structural engineering assignments as part of a design or inspection team.
- Perform engineering calculations and prepare MicroStation / CADD drawings as required.
- Utilize engineering analysis software to perform LRFD ratings of bridges.
- Take part in structure inspection assignments. Take photos & measurements; produce sketches.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering reports documenting inspection findings.
- Other duties as may be assigned to meet business needs
