Responsibilities :
What you'll be challenged to do :
TranSystems, has an opening for a Civil Engineer with a strong construction / CEI background for Civil / Site related projects, who will be assigned to the Clearwater / Palmetto offices. This position will provide support on Land Development projects, provide technical assistance to the project engineer, provide QA / QC (constructability review), and construction oversight services.
General Responsibilities :
- Ability to assist the project manager on various civil engineering projects at one time.
- Assist with planning, design, permitting and coordinating projects.
- Attend and various meetings as needed related to construction projects.
- Focuses on quality and help to ensure QA / QC procedures are followed.
- Must be good communicator and possess ability to resolve problems.
- Provide subject matter expertise and technical support to project teams.
- Manage assigned project elements, which may involve structures, roadways, and other transportation facilities.
- Analyze and interpret project plans and specifications to ensure project constructability.
- Identify design errors and impacts for the project team.
- Interprets unclear contract language.
- Work on several projects simultaneously.
- Conform in all respects with applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisors.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.
