Responsibilities What you'll be challenged to do : Gannett Fleming TranSystems is seeking an Engineering Intern to join our growing Fort Lauderdale, FL office for the summer of 2025. Gannett Fleming TranSystems interns will work within our civil and structural engineering, architecture, and planning services divisions, and assist with a variety of projects. This role offers the ability to actively interact with our teams as we work to develop plans, designs, and studies for our clients in various disciplines including states and municipalities, freight railroad, passenger rail and transit, airports, air carriers, and federal government projects. Primary Responsibilities (others may be included) : Assist office in various tasks related to Civil / Structural Engineering, Architecture, and Planning. This includes design, analysis, studies, and plan production. Attend weekly project and / or team meetings and provide status updates. Will learn proficiency in computer-aided drafting and design software (MicroStation and Geopak). Assist with CADD production. Assist with engineering calculations. Contribute to project deliverables, Other entry-level engineering, architecture, and planning activities. Qualifications What you bring to our firm : Candidate anticipates graduating with a bachelor’s degree in December 2025 or is currently a sophomore, junior, or senior. Candidate is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil / Structural Engineering, Architecture, or Planning. Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members. Must be eager to learn, be flexible and be a team player.
