Responsibilities What you'll be challenged to do : Gannett Fleming TranSystems is seeking a Sr Office / Project Administrator to join our Schaumburg, IL office. This is a hybrid role. This person will assist with the current program management responsibilities with the Illinois Department of Transportation. The position is 40 hours a week with work both in the IDOT District One office and remote. The successful candidate will function in an administrative capacity in the Project Support Section in the Bureau of design. The coordinator will assist the Section Chief with tracking of various items required in the Section to deliver IDOT’s program and related business as well as mail, timecards, typing, and filing. This position reports to the Project Support Section Chief in the Project support section in the Bureau of Design. Primary Responsibilities (others may be included) : Prepare / Send Correspondence Filing Attendance and timecards Distribution of mail Answer calls from the public and direct to various units or Bureaus Assist with retrieving information Qualifications What you bring to our firm : High school diploma. Minimum of 10 years' professional office administrative experience, specifically in preparing letters and correspondence, tracking correspondence, and maintaining project records. Proficient with word and excel. Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members. What we’d prefer for you to bring to our firm : Knowledge and familiarity within the transportation industry, specifically with public, department of transportation, railroad, port, aviation, transit, and / or Federal clients is preferred. Highly organized with an independent self-starting personality that is effective working independently and in a team environment. Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and balance short-term deadlines against long-term goals. Proven ability to work with multiple people in a persistent, tactful, and enthusiastic manner. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills with a focus on attention to details. This compensation range is specific to the State of Illinois and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; internal peer equity; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Gannett Fleming TranSystems, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is between $75,000 - $80,000.
