• Provides architectural oversight of IT project activities in their area(s) of expertise to ensure adherence to standards and best practices
• Participates in the development of process, data, and technology standards and designs in their area(s) of technical expertise which increase capabilities, scalability and performance
• Stays abreast of industry standards, market forces and emerging technologies to understand their impact and how they can be best leveraged within the Gilead Organization and technology landscape
• Participates as a member of a review council contributing to the development and adoption of the new architecture and standards across ITProvides solutions to the business, leveraging their technical expertise, a broad understanding of the current and future technology architectures, and an awareness of Gilead key strategies and objectives
• Leads the evaluation of new technologies relative to their area(s) of expertise.
• Proposes technology investments supported by a thorough technical analysis, proof of concept and business case
• Contributes to strategic technology planning, including proposed cost implications;able to anticipate business needs to effectively plan for the future of technologies supported
• Provides technical guidance, training, direction and reviews the work of colleagues working on architectural issues to ensure alignment
