Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented engineer with a strong background in automotive Body-in-White (BIW) sealing systems. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, learns quickly, and excels at multi-tasking.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop efficient BIW static sealing strategies and components for optimal NVH and air/water sealing performance.
- Optimize designs for performance, weight, durability, and cost.
- Ensure BIW meets sealing, manufacturing, and performance requirements.
- Coordinate virtual engineering and physical validation testing.
- Apply GD&T principles to ensure robust sealing strategies.
- Lead issue resolution and drive product launch success.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in BIW sealing at an OEM or supplier.
- Strong expertise in sealing products/processes (e.g., sealers, adhesives, baffles, foams, tapes).
- Proven experience with product launches and troubleshooting sealing issues.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (CATIA V5/V6 or similar).
- Hands-on experience with prototype and production assembly.
- Strong problem-solving skills using first principles engineering.
