Job Description
Tranzeal Incorporated is seeking a skilled CAD Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing efficient automotive body-in-white (BIW) static sealing strategies, components, and manufacturing designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop optimized BIW sealing strategies, components, and manufacturing designs to deliver high-performance results in NVH and air & water sealing.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that sealing, manufacturing, and performance requirements are met.
- Drive the design of the BIW from a sealing perspective to ensure robust sealing by design.
- Coordinate virtual engineering and physical validation testing activities for your designs.
- Analyze data to determine required tolerances using GD&T.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in automotive BIW sealing systems and sub-systems at OEM or supplier level.
- Demonstrated product launch experience and issue resolution capability.
- Extensive knowledge of products and processes applicable for body structures sealing such as pumpable sealers and adhesives, baffles, foams, and sealing tapes.
- Proven 3D CAD skills, proficient with CATIA V5/V6 or similar software.
- Hands-on practical experience in prototype assembly and production assembly with the willingness to assemble own parts.
