Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as necessary.
- Apply paint using various methods including airless paint spraying and traditional brush techniques.
- Operate forklifts and other materials handling equipment safely to transport items as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform basic mechanical tasks, including minor repairs and maintenance of painting equipment.
- Assist in the fabrication of components when required, demonstrating versatility in skills.
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Experience
Candidates should possess:
- Proven experience in industrial painting or related fields such as construction painting or auto painting.
- Familiarity with materials handling techniques and safety protocols.
- Knowledge of welding processes is a plus, enhancing the ability to perform repairs as needed.
- Mechanical knowledge that supports the maintenance of tools and equipment used in painting tasks.
