Customer Service Representative
Job Description: Trash Taxi of Georgia is looking for a professional customer service representative to serve customers and support the team by providing service information to customers, reporting service issues for resolution, and performing basic accounting and data entry. Our busy office handles calls from our GREAT customers, and people who are looking for a GREAT trash company. We are family owned company who treats people like family.
Job Duties:
· Multi-tasks to balance multiple items such as high volume of incoming calls, daily work and priority items. (call volume can be very high after billing, promotions, bad weather, mechanical delays etc.)
· Attracts potential customers by answering billing, residential and commercial service questions and providing accurate information about future services.
· Strives to finalize sales and offer solutions to customers.
· Opens and maintains customer accounts by recording or updating account information.
· Researches service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; checking the route sheets to determine the cause of the problem; working with route manager and drivers to expedite correction, providing adjustment, if needed, and educating the customer to prevent future problems.
· Maintains financial accounts by processing customer adjustments, payments and invoicing.
· Calls customers regarding declined payments; suspends accounts as needed.
· Recommends potential changes to management by observing customer behavior.
· Compiles work orders, research customer balances and prepares route sheets for daily use.
· Contributes to team effort by completing administrative tasks as assigned.
· Communicates with management and staff regarding sales calls, marketing requests, unusual price requests and other items as needed.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- At least 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- At least 1 year experience in fast paced customer service office
- Window’s based proficiency, complex data entry
- Experience with billing accounts receivable
- Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug screen
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 or more years working in customer service for the solid waste industry
- Experience with solid waste hauling software
- Bi-lingual (Spanish)
