Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled General Liability Defense/Coverage Associate with 1-5 years of experience in New York state and federal court, specializing in New York Labor Law, property damage, premises liability, construction defect, or medical malpractice litigation, and nursing home litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Active member in good standing of the New York bar
- Demonstrated litigation/coverage experience, including independent case management, taking and defending depositions, propounding and responding to written discovery, drafting pleadings and motions, and attending mediations and case management conferences/court hearings
- Well-organized self-starter with excellent writing and analytical abilities
- Ability to manage tasks and deadlines independently while keeping key stakeholders informed of case status
