What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fully Licensed and Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Therapist in PA position at Trauma Specialists of Maryland?
Trauma Specialists of Pennsylvania is a values-based community of helping professionals working to provide effective, evidence-based trauma treatment to enhance the mental well-being of children, adults, families, and couples in our community. We are a highly skilled, fun, dynamic, and collaborative group of clinicians who value working together to treat the impact of trauma on our communities.
Clinical therapists provide outpatient, individual, family, and group therapy to patients of Trauma Specialists with locations in Hanover, PA. Clinical therapy services include treatment of adults, adolescents, couples and families. Clinicians should have EMDR basic training or be willing to get the training shortly after being hired. Other treatment modalities such as IFS, DBT, Neurofeedback are also encouraged.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in counseling or social work; and an active, unrestricted license (PhD, PsyD, LCSW or LPC) or LSW, LAPC in the State of Pennsylvania.
- Available to hold at least 25 patient sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by Trauma Specialists.
- Have experience in treatment planning and excellent documentation.
- Be compassionate, inclusive, self-motivated, and relatable (a great sense of humor is a plus!)
- Have a desire to treat trauma effectively.
Other Qualification Preferences:
- Prior experience in a private practice setting.
- Have a specialization in treating trauma.
- Current approval as an in-network provider with BCBS (or ability to be paneled) and other insurance providers.
- Experience and/or certification in art therapy.
