Journeyman Sign Installer
A Journeyman Sign Installer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and removal of various types of signage. The Journeyman Installer must be a dedicated individual who is motivated, reliable and dependable. A Journeyman Installer is responsible for the safety of self and crew. The Journeyman must also ensure all work performed is in compliance with health and safety regulations and policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Reviews artwork/blueprints and prepare materials and supplies for sign installation
· Must be comfortable to safely work at heights from bucket trucks and/or cranes
· Transport sign material, prepare and erects signs
· Perform maintenance and repair to existing signs
· Complete paperwork for installation and service work
· Travel to field site. Occasional out of town work requiring overnight stays
· Follow all safety guidelines and regulations are followed by the crew
· Obtain completed work sign-off from customers
· Responsible for the safe use of all necessary tools and equipment
· Serve as work-site foreman, ensuring all safety measures are followed
MARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Clean, stock, and maintain equipment
· Perform other functions as necessary or as assigned
· Serve as a leader for your install crew
· Professionally interact with customers and fellow team members
TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
A High School Diploma or GED and one or more years of relevant experience involving demonstrated abilities in construction including welding, operation of heavy equipment, crane and forklift, power tools, electrical experience, and reading blueprints and work orders; or any combination of training, education and experience which provides the following knowledge, abilities, and skills.
· On the job welding experience
· Ability to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple work activities to meet critical deadlines, as well as working independently
· Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person
· Ability to operate telephone and tablet, i.e. iPad
· Excellent basic math skills
· Strong work ethic with an enthusiastic, positive attitude, and the highest level of integrity
· Excellent communication skills
· Maintain regular and timely attendance
· Valid Driver's License with Good Driving Record
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
