Your expertise will enable you to position patients correctly, administer radiocontrast agents when necessary, and evaluate CT scans for quality. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain accurate patient records and adhere to safety protocols when working with radiation.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance as needed
Aptly position patients for scanning specific areas of their bodies
Capture diagnostic images using computerized tomography equipment
Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance image visibility
Evaluate CT scans for technical quality
Maintain accurate patient records
1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography
BLS certification
State-specific licensing when required
Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop easily
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
