Travel CT Technologist Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) to join our travel team.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating computed tomography equipment, ensuring accurate image production, and caring for patients undergoing CT scanning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
- Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as needed
- Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
- Position patients accurately for scanning
- Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues
- Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance image visibility
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Understand and utilize the McKesson PACS system
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience in CT Technologist role
- ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography
- BLS certification
- Able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop easily
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications may be required before assignment commencement
