Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our travel team in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
About the Role
- Duration: 12 weeks
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12 hours, evenings
Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
- Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance as required
- Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
- Position patients appropriately for scanning specific areas of their bodies
- Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues
- Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance visibility of internal organs and tissues
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality and follow safety procedures when working with radiation
- Maintain accurate patient records and understand the McKesson PACS system
Requirements
- 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
- ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography
- BLS certification
- State-specific licensing when required
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop easily
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
