Job Title: Travel CT Technologist
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) to join our team for an immediate travel assignment in Lincoln, Maine.
Responsibilities:
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
- Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required
- Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions and position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
- Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues
- Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
- FOLLOW SAFETY PROCEDURES WHEN WORKING WITH RADIATION
- Maintain accurate patient records and understand the McKesson PACS system
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience as a CT Tech
- BLS certification
- ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography
- State-specific licensing when required
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop easily
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
