As an IR Tech, you will be responsible for operating fluoroscopic equipment and assisting physicians with minimally invasive procedures. Your duties will include confirming patient identification, reviewing imaging requests, and explaining procedures to patients.
Responsibilities:
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
- Explain procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required
- Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records using the McKesson PACS system
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience as an IR Tech
- ARRT (R) National Certification and state-specific licensing when required
- Vascular Interventional certificate preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
