We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team for an immediate travel opening in Santa Maria, California.
The successful candidate will operate a mammography unit and ensure that images are accurate and of high quality. They will work closely with radiologists to provide medical interpretation and develop mammograms according to established standards and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
- Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required
- Conduct mammography studies and maintain production and quality of mammograms
- Develop mammograms, observe results, and retake as necessary
- Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following established standards and procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates must have at least one year of experience as a Mammography Technologist. They must also hold BLS certification, ARRT (M) National Certification with registration in mammography, and state-specific licensing when required. Mammo Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
