Travel MRI Technologist Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI Tech) for an immediate travel opportunity in Albany, New York.
Job Summary
This 13-week contract position requires a dedicated and experienced MRI Tech to work 40 hours per week on an 8-hour night shift. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in the field and be certified as an ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT.
Key Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
- Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
- Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment
- Assist radiologists with procedure performance
- Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality and collate processed images
- Maintain accurate patient records
Requirements
- 1 year of experience as an MRI Tech
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification
- State-specific licensing when required
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
